We're thrilled to introduce our new portfolio company, MIND, and announce their $11M seed round led by YL Ventures with the participation of an impressive group of cybersecurity luminaries. Learn why we invested in their Data Loss Prevention platform on Partner Justin Somaini's blog >>

At EY JOURNEY 2024, Managing Partner Yoav Leitersdorf led a dynamic panel discussion exploring the surge in Israeli cybersecurity M&A. In his latest blog, Yoav delves deeper into insights from the event, highlighting Israel’s resilience amidst global challenges and what makes the country’s innovation ecosystem so attractive to international players.

On the topic of events, we recently hosted the second edition of the YL Ventures Breakfast Club—a U.S. tour designed to connect our early-stage portfolio companies with top global security leaders. This tour featured live pitches from our portfolio companies, thought-provoking panel discussions, and tailored professional development content for CISOs and security practitioners.

Speaking of our portfolio companies, we're excited to share some exciting portfolio accomplishments:

  • DUNS 100 named Grip Security and Vulcan Cyber to their list of "Best Startup Companies to Work for" and Orca Security to the "Best HighTech Companies to Work for."
  • Cycode, Grip Security, and Valence Security have been named to eSecurity Planet's “Hot Cybersecurity Startups to Watch" list
  • Aim Security and Miggo Security have been recognized by industry leader Richard Stiennon in his prestigious list of the "Fast Fifty Under 50."

Lastly, we're pleased to welcome a new YLV team member, Julianna Somaini, our new Business Development Analyst.

On the surge in Israeli cybersecurity M&A activity, from our panel at EY JOURNEY 2024

"M&A activity is often driven by large enterprises seeking innovation beyond their existing product lines. Focused on improving current offerings, these companies may find it challenging to pursue new ideas at scale internally. By acquiring proven solutions in the market, they can efficiently drive growth and innovation while adding complementary products to their portfolios in a financially responsible way. This strategy fuels industry innovation by harnessing the best emerging solutions."
